Humankind versus.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Yahweh 1).

Man, man, man, man, man.
Man is the only organism to have extended his own lifespan.
Is that a miracle,
Or a curse?

“And the LORD said, ‘My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for he also is flesh; yet his
days shall be a hundred and twenty years” (Yahweh 6).

Time.
Man v. Time.
The singular enemy Man cannot conquer.
The true conflict of ages, no?

Sand.
Smothering. Intentionally placed.
A walkway made of the dead.
Killing. Natural, yes, but man.

But Man.

Trees ache, grass withers, time moves on
Man siphons time from others to live longer himself
Thus sand. Thus smothering.
Is eternal life really what we want?

“For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” (Yahweh 75).
dust – fine particles of matter (as of earth)

What are we but particles of sand
floating
landing on pathways
where death results in death to sustain life for our sons
